Hello If I create a subdirectory within my domain. Ispconfig not create a folder with the subdomain name where upload files. Example subdomain Prueba2. Before, it debian7 automatically created a folder with the name prueba7, Now, with debian8, and ispconfig3.1.1 I create the subdomain prueba7 and no subfolders are created, with the name of prueba2 I created the folder manually, but does not work, I created a info.php. I createdthe folder prueba2 on this route / Var / www / clients / client3 / web8 / prueba2 it's correct? I try to get so prueba2.domain.com www.prueba2.domain.com Thank you a greeting
Under System > Main Config there is a setting 'Create subdomains as web site' - I have not tried it, but it sounds like maybe what you are wanting?
I'm sorry for digging this up again. I'm usually not a necrophiliac, I just have a question related to this: What use is creating a subdomain, if it doesn't create as site? Can I use it as a domain for "domain.tld/forum/" by redirecting (with what settings)?
Many cms systems can route subdomains internally, e.g. Wordpress multisite installations (MU) or Typo3 and for such systems, the subdomain gets assigned to the website and the C´MS decides then which website and content is shown. Redirecting a subdomain to a folder as you described it is another possibility.
Interesting. Thanks for the explanation. Is that an option in ISPC? Otherwise I'd just change the ln in "/var/www/" accordingly.
Yes, see redirect settings of the subdomain. You might want to take a look into the manual, it's all explained there.
Ah, I got it! Just enter the path ("/var/www/clients/client9/web9/web/forum/", for example) into the redirect and choose "No Flag". Works. Only thing is, it doesn't automatically https.
