    Hi,
I upgraded my server running debian 7.8 to debian 8, thought everything went fine .. (resynced webs for apache 2.4) but I just notived a strange effect:
    * one website that uses a RewriteRule to redirect to https is fine
    * one website using HTTPS is reachable (HTTP is not)
    * everything on port 80 goes to the ispconfig default page for a new web (one of the webs might actually contain that of course)

I'm not quite sure where the error is ... any tips?

Any vhosts with .err file ending in /etc/apache2/sites-available/ folder? And please check that you have not mixed * and IP address in website settings for websites that point to the same IP address.

    no .err files,
all my vhosts are on the same IPs (got a v4 and a v6) so they are all set up with * as v4 and empty as v6 in the gui, that worked fine with apache 2.2

Maybe you might want to post the reason for the issue, this might help others when they stumble on this thread.
