Hello, I just installed ispconfig, i did not follow the perfect server guide, i just installed ispconfig. I have already tied my domain successfully with dns records updated. my only question is about the mail server. what is the mail server? is it mail.yourdomain.com? also, does ispconfig use pop3 or imap? also, what port does ispconfig use by default for smtp, and pop3/imap? thanks in advanced
Then your mail setup will not work with a chance of 99,9999% The perfect server guides describe the min. system requirements for ispconfig, so if your server doe snot contain all packages before you installed ispconfig, then functions will fail. ispconfig supports imap, pop3, smtp and uses the default ports for all services. you can reach them on any domain name or ip address that points to your server.
