Thought i would try Server IPv4 mapping, can't do this as no servers are listed and get error The Server is empty.
Ok purchased V3.1 manual and can see Server IPv4 mapping is of no use to me. So, any ideas how to deal with this internal external IP issue? thanks
That's corect and as it should be. Internal IP addresses are used by services like apache. Only BIND needs to know the external IP. Th IP suggest field lists all existing IP addresses that are used inside ISPConfig already, so that's not related to your IP mapping at all. You can enter any IP you want and if an external address has not been used yet, then just enter it instead of using a suggested IP.
I am having some issues since doing a migration. First off the contents of imap email accounts was never transferred? I am having to edit site IPs and dns record IPs for all site by hand? Some dns records are being reported as corrupt when trying to edit them, thought they look ok when viewed via ssh When viewing corrupt dns records i start getting error messages in ISPConfig as posted here https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/too-many-files-open.74628/ thanks
Did you run the data copy script that the migration tool created? If your new server does not get the IP addresses of the old system after migration, then you have to set the new addresses in dns records and websites. When bind reports a record as corrupt, then there must be an issue or the record was not complete yet. Please contact the mMigration tool support to get help for the Tool: http://www.ispconfig.org/get-support/?type=migration
Yep did run it, mentioned this earlier in thread, databases transferred ok, as did site content, just not IMAP accounts, did contact support when first started thread, but never got a reply! will try again
I'm sorry, probably the mail got lost as we answer all incoming support requests. Thank's for contacting the support again.
Hi, no reply from support yet? Question, as i need to replace IPs in dns records by hand, can this be done via server consol using sed to replace IPs? Just that have a number of domains that use same IP and this will be quicker than editing each one via ISPconfig. thanks
We had sent you the answer yesterday evening (within an hour after you contacted us). You should check your mailbox and spam folder. Replace the IP addresses in the database and then run the resync tool to rewrite the config files.
Disabled SSL in ispconfig vhost and ssl vhost. Remote connecting successful over http. But still can not reach the remote api.
Any firewalls between the servers that might block http or https connections from one server to the other one?
I guess it's the same problem that you discuss with Marius in the other thread, so we can close that here?
