1. Ok I have enabled them in the runeditor so they start every time..... is there any drawbacks to using maildir. 2. Even though xinetd is set to run on boot sometimes it does not start is there any reason why this would happen. Once again thanks a million for all your help.
No, Maildir is even better than mbox because Maildir uses one file per email whereas in mbox all emails are stored in one file. So if the file is corrupt all emails are gone. Plus, Maildir makes less problems regarding quotas.
