I personally have that in my backlog todo for Nginx. Apache doesn't support HTTP/3 yet and according to an Apache mailling list entry there is also no one willing to spend time on it. With the Nginx Reverse Proxy feature coming sometime this year for ISPConfig, we can workaround this problem by using Nginx.
Hi guys! Hi Till, It's been a long time, but at the same time my isp is running smoothly. Thanks for the latest update and congratulations to the whole team. What an incredible job you're doing. I've read the roadmap for this year, and I wish you every success. I've managed to run some nice little Docker's apps behind Apache on the front end (Apache ReverseProxy), so far so good. Thanks to Gemini See you la Team !!
Nice job. For Nginx, the earliest for Ubuntu might be in 26.04 OR if Ondrej Sury decided and managed to package Nginx latest stable with OpenSSL 3.5+, that could also work, as a very good early trial for everybody using his PPA.
The software is ready for quite a while, I just have to finish the installer. It should be ready soon.
Hi till , can you tell me about ispconfig panel in docker if i use this to kubernetes ? Maby ha options is in installer ?
The AutoInstaller does not support Docker, and I have not used ISPConfig in Kubernetes. However, some Docker files from ISPConfig users are available online if you search for them. However, I have not personally used any of them.
ISPConfig 3.4 will be installable with the auto-installer, so there is no Docker requirement; however, we might provide some Docker-related functions in ISPConfig. Our plan for the future is to provide ISPConfig as a Docker image, in addition to the normal installation. But Docker has its limitations, so you won't get all functions from a standard installation. For example, Docker does not provide quotas, so there will be no hard disk limits for websites. We also plan to improve multiserver functions regarding HA setups and website migrations between servers.
Including ISPC itself? I've been running ISPC in HA for some time now in my testlab and it works great. I can shutdown the real master and all nodes and panel continiou to function using the mirrored master. It's also IPSC upgrade proof.
Hi Till, just wondering if there is an ETA available for this. If it's clear what needs to be done, we might be able to contribute as well. Would just need some pointers to get started.
I think he said in another thread that it is finished but subject to final fine tuning, but not sure about a release of that though. In 3rd quarter this year, I ventured the possibility of ISPConfig server in a Proxmox LXC, with controlled / limited ssh from the LXC server to the Proxmox, to allow the use of kernel including quotas, which seems very much possible. Also possible with Proxmox, is to create another LXC, or even better, a VM, from that LXC ISPConfig server, based on the same idea, which ISPConfig had dropped for quite some times, with the old OpenVZ.
Often roadmaps does not align with life. @choong , please become supporter in order to fund some life activities, so devs would have time to dedicate for ISPC.
