I'm looking to test out ISPConfig with cyrus, I've seen some old threads and pull request, and someone thought it was added to master. What is the best way to set this up?

Cyrus is not supported and there are no tested tutorials for that, if you want to use it you will have to build your own mail setup from scratch. But maybe you should consider why you want to use an unsupported imap system which will most likely cause you problems with every update instead of the supported systems dovecot and courier.

Well, cyrus is a superior MTA that I already use. I saw that there was some possible cyrus support added to master a few years ago, I was wondering the status. If there is no chance of cyrus ever being added, I will look elsewhere. Thanks.

It is unlikely that we will add Cyrus support in ISPConfig. The current setup that we use works very well and scales to ten thousands of accounts in cluster setups, so there is no reason to add another MTA or Imap server type.
