You have a typo in the ns2 record. You typed n2.rob.... and not ns2.rob.....

Not sure if this affects anything:
Where I have my domain name registered registered I have the following setup:
    robcraig.com ns1.robcraig.com | ns2.robcraig.com
There is a "Glue Record" in the Advanced part of the DNS for that domain with this:
    ns1: 185.237.182.250ns2: 185.237.182.250

    * Glue Records are an advanced tool that allow you to create nameservers based on your domain and associate them to an IP address

A good eye. Corrected. Not sure if that would break the dns?

It will break, as you tell the DNS server that the authoritative DNS system for this zone can be reached under subdomain n2, but such a subdomain does not exist as there is no A-Record for n2, you have just one for ns2.

And one more issue: you missed adding the dot for the fqdn in the ns2 a record.

Corrected and dnschecker.com all in green. Thanks for your patience and assistance :) I've purchased the PDF to give a little support.
