Hi all, I've got an account with very large directories and more specific the .Junk firectory which lies under /var/vmail/mydomain/user/Maildir Same goes for the directory tmp which is also inside the Maildir. Is it safe to empty those directories and if yes what is the recommended way? Thanks
For Junk I would just set "Purge Junk automatically after X days" in the mailbox (probably set for all mailboxes). I presume clearing old files from tmp dirs in the Maildir is probably fine, but I don't really know what those files are used for offhand. You could search the web for more info, or just make a backup of the mail files first before you clean things up to be safe.
