Lack of SSL/TLS on howtoforge.com forums

Is there a specific reason for which SSL/TLS is not implemented on these forums?

I am not comfortable with the fact that my login credentials are transmitted in plaintext.

 

If you implement SSL, you should consider implementing SPDY as well.
