Good Day, I have wordpress Multi user set up for a site in ispconfig 3 and I am using a wildcard subdomain setting in ispc as well. I also have a wild card set up in dns and I can't seem to keep let's encrypt enabled. Any thoughts on this one? Bradley
Let's encrypt does not support wildcard subdomains, the ssl cert gets reduced to domain + www.domain if you select wirldcard. But that's not the reason why it can't create the cert, you can find th details why letsencrypt fails in the letsencrypt log file.
OK.I am also seeking a solution to letsencrypt wildcard SSL cert. Does Letsencrypt support wild card sub-domain now?
Yes via dns validation but that has not yet been implemented in ISPConfig. I already discussed some of the tips / tricks to do that in here: https://www.howtoforge.com/communit...via-certbot-dns-validation-in-acme-v02.79049/ but to be honest, I think not many are interested in it.
