    Hi

I'm having problems on a wireless LAN, where the one segment (8x Windows XP & 1x Windows Vista PC's) drop every now and then, and it doesn't matter what I try, I can't figure it out.

    The setup is as follows:

Linux Suse 10.2 Samba server / router ----- Netgear ADSL Modem / Wifi / 4 port Hub ---- Linksys Wifi + 4 port hub ----- Windows PC's via Wifi

So, I'm looking for something that could monitor each device on the LAN, from the ADSL modem, to the Wifi link on the ADSL modem, and the 2x laptops connected to it, as well as the Linksys Wifi router & 9 PC's connected to it.

If possible, I'd like to have it log everything to a MySQL DB, and the moment something drops, it gets logged. What can I use for this?

    You can use groundworks opensource.
