    I have successfully installed Ubuntu 12.04 server with isp Config.
    I can still login to my terminal via putty.
    To keep it short i need to know the procedure to use putty and my terminal to reset or change my login for ISPConfig. and my login to Squirrel Mail. ?please don't ask I need to do it from the terminal!

    Thanks for any help I can get.

    You can change ISPConfig config password as explained in the link

    Regarding Squirrelmail password:
    Passwords are stored in the database 'dbispconfig', table 'mail_user', column 'password'. The passwords are encrypted with the default linux encryption. t is a crypt md5 encryption with salt, so the hash is always different to prevent dictionary attacks. Its the same encryption that linux uses for passwprds in the /etc/shadow file. You can manage/change the password from the admin panel of the ISPConfig webinterface.
