I wanted to know if the maillog was periodically erased? So far, it has been about 24 hours since Postfix has been up, and already, the maillog file is 5 megs. I'm worried that if it doesn't automatically get erased, it may overload the hard drive. I guess this goes for all log files.
Logas are rotated by the program logrotate in most linux distributions. Logrotate is installed by default.
