Mailman link issue

I have recently started having an issue with mailman
I have never used it but i have it installed. lately i have started receiving an e-mail at 8am every morning saying there's something needing my attention.
It directs me into a link that uses HTTP but i assume due to my mgmt interface being redirected to HTTPS it wont let me login -
the error message is error 500 internal server error.
If i change the link manually on the browser to HTTPS i then get a wrong (and expired) self signed certificate error.
I am using a public signed certificate with my domain name for the management page without issues except for this.

Could anyone give me a hint on where to look for either how to allow mailman to send out https links and having the correct cert linked to it, or allowing it to use HTTP.

I am using Centos 7.4, and ISPConfig 3.1.7p.

i don't really use mailman for any domain, but i would at least like to remove this e-mail warning every day.
