I have a question regarding step 2 (Applying a GTK Icon Theme). It says to go to System > Preferences > Themes > Cusomize > icons. When I look under Preferences there is no option for themes. The closet thing I see to themes in the Emerald Theme Manager.
dhabell, The themes is in System>Prefernce>Appearance then Customize. Unfortunately, for you (and me) using GNOME 2.20 (?), you can not customize much, except delete. 60 views, and this is the first answer?
The Mac4Lin guide ( http://www.howtoforge.com/mac4lin_make_linux_look_like_a_mac ) has been updated today and now contains instructions for GNOME 2.20 as well.

More adapted for newbie Additional update is also expected, to make it easier to follow. I am referring to affinity mentioned in awn, could not find the package! The use of apt-get does not give any result, and research on the web, show that it is only available in tarball. Font installation does not work for me, either. But so far I have already a look of Mac on my laptop. Cheer
