mysqld upgrade

    Hi,

    are there any advices about mysqld upgrade from 5.5 to 5.7 with centos 6.5?
    (Except backup all db and grants?)

    It should work as long as you do not enable "strict_trans_tables" in mysql 5.7.

    so it's easy as it looks like:
    - backup user dbs and grants;
    - remove old mysqld;
    - install the new one?

    Make backups and test that you can restore from them BEFORE performing upgrade! :)
