    Output of /etc/debian version

    [Output]

    Lenny/sid

    [End of Output]

That really doesn't look right to me?

It should show 3.1, if you were using Sarge. Lenny/Sid means you're using testing/unstable which is not supported...

    I am running Sarge 3.1

I will make sure that all my source lists are set to Stable. Will this fix the problems I'm having?

Thanks for your help so far.

I think you can just write 3.1 or 4.0 into /etc/debian_version. ISPConfig will then think that it's a Sarge or Etch installation.

It worked until the server was restarted

    Hi,

I entered 3.1 into the requested file. The server ran fine out of acquaintance mode until I restarted it. Any ideas why it still would not be working?

    No errors in the log.

What exactly isn't working now? ISPConfig, the main Apache, anything else?

    ISPConfig works sometimes...

Now when I restart I get a whole screen of erros which I can't copy down since I'm using a KVM to see the console. However when I reboot the server ISPConfig comes up fine. Looks like we did it. It seems to be tempermental.

One more questions. What is the file required to update ISPConfig. I go to Update inside of ISPConfig but I can never seem to find the file it needs.

    Error:

    Installation instructions not found: /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/temp/4aaa33edc74c573d199309e76abd436f/package.ins

I tried running /.setup I get setup started Please Wait and then the system hangs.

    Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your help

    System Imaging software required

What is a good choice for System Imaging software for my server. I use Norton Ghost for windows as that is the most compatible format for the work I do.

    Thanks

What exactly are you trying to do here? Installing phpMyAdmin or Uebimiau webmail or updating ISPConfig? Update/installation instructions can be found here: http://www.ispconfig.org/manual_installation.htm

I wish to update ISPConfig and make an Image of my server

Ad described in the heading I want to 1st Image my system e.g. Norton Ghost or the Linux equivilant.

    2. I wwant to update ISPConfig the update instructions don't help I read those and they don't tell me which file I need. The /.setup command just makes the server hang can't I use the GUI Update command? All I need to know is which file contains installation instructions.

    Thanks

    2) There is no GUI for updating. Just unpack ISPConfig and run the setup script, there is no other way to update ISPConfig.

ISPConfig is an open source hosting control panel for Linux. ISPConfig is licensed under BSD license.
I dont think it is going to accept those commands.
Visit the www.ispconfig.org , it has got the list of your options
