I need help in adding a new email user named mail. I have a client who was using Microsoft exchange but it crashed and someone installed and configured CentOS 7 with postfix and dovecot. Everything is working fine except for one email account which is the most important for the company. This one is "email". Under Linux this is for root. In their Exchange it was working fine. All the users are normal Linux users, no problems. How can I add this email address in Linux so they can use it like they did in MS Exchange? I haven't tried anything on the machine since I have just inherited someone's work. I need a workaround this. Please, help.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't really understand the question.

It's ok. I found a solution. I created a virtual machine and what I did was delete the alias "mail" for root. Then I created another user called mail but placed it under the group usr. After testing I did this on the production machine. It's working fine.
