I checked your DNS records, they seem to be ok, they point to 87.116.140.158. No. No. You need not use the DNS Manager of ISPConfig at all because the dyndns.org name servers handle fast-server.homelinux.com. I've just done a Code: telnet fast-server.homelinux.com 25 , and it looks ok. Try to send a mail to your ISPConfig server and have a look at the mail log if you can find anything related to that email.
OK, when I login into ISPConfig, and send email through UebiMiau to root@localhost, here's what I got: Nov 25 05:16:26 fast-server postfix/smtpd[13594]: disconnect from fast-server.homelinux.com[127.0.0.1] Nov 25 05:16:26 fast-server ipop3d[13599]: pop3 service init from 127.0.0.1 Nov 25 05:16:26 fast-server ipop3d[13599]: Login user=web2_nenad host=fast-server.homelinux.com [127.0.0.1] nmsgs=0/0 Nov 25 05:16:26 fast-server ipop3d[13599]: Logout user=web2_nenad host=fast-server.homelinux.com [127.0.0.1 ] nmsgs=0 ndele=0 Nov 25 05:16:27 fast-server postfix/local[13598]: A69D24276: to=<[email protected]>, orig_to=<ro ot@localhost>, relay=local, delay=1, status=sent (delivered to mailbox) Nov 25 05:16:27 fast-server postfix/qmgr[8713]: A69D24276: removed -------------------------------------------------------------- And email reached inbox for root@localhost and header is : From "Nenad - Fast Server" <[email protected]> To [email protected] Date Fri, 25 Nov 2005 5:09:16 +0100 Subject test ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Strange enough, when I do email chechk with DNS Stuff, evrything seems to be ok? http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/[email protected] ******************************************************** Getting MX record for fast-server.homelinux.com (from local DNS server, may be cached)... ::Update OK, it seems that I can sent localy from [email protected] to [email protected] when I use UebiMiau or Webmin I also added in Postfix Domain mapping lookup tables hash:/etc/postfix/virtual and Domains to perform virtual mapping for virtual
If you have ISPConfig installed, the Domain table is /etc/postfix/local-host-names ISPCOnfig wont work if you specify hash:/etc/postfix/virtual in your main.cf
Try to send an email from an external address (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, ...) to an email address you created in ISPConfig! From reading your posts I guess you have made a lot of manual changes to your system, especially /etc/postfix/main.cf. It might be a good idea to re-install the system exactly as described in the Perfect Setup and only make manual changes if you know exactly what you're doing.
OK. I made changes only after determining that email is not functioning properly. But I will folow your advice and reinstall everything. It's anyway testing platform / server, so it's no big deal to re-install erverything OS and ISPConfig. Thanx for your support.

OK, I set it up to hash:/etc/postfix/virtual in your main.cf after I noticed that email system is not functioning properly. Anyway, I will re-install complete system
OK, I reinstalled complete OS and ISP Config. Same problem. I can sent email. But I can't receive any emails...?
Can you receive emails when you set the smtp server of you mailclient to your server? If not, what message appears in your mail log in the moment you send the email?
I am not quite sure that I understand this. OK, when I send email (using email client (Outlook express), from another PC - not from ISP server) from my nonISP account ([email protected]) to ISP account [email protected] nothing happens. There's no trace of anything in /var/log/maillog. Later, in few hours I receive something like this: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The original message was received at Tue, 22 Nov 2005 18:46:28 +0100 (CET) from [10.40.250.236] ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <[email protected]> ----- Transcript of session follows ----- <[email protected]>... Deferred: Interrupted system call Message could not be delivered for 5 days Message will be deleted from queue ------------------------------------------------------------------- I CAN sent email using email client from another PC using any of ISPConfig email accounts, eg: [email protected]
BTW Why Apache won't 'execute' PHP ? I just installed Joomla, and it's shown PHP code instead of webpage?
No, I forgot to do that But, when I enabled it in ISPConfig , apache still don't execute PHP. Then I deleted it. Then I wanted to add it again, but following error occured: And the website is deleted? And user is deleted, and other sites are deleted..... In management ---> server --> Settings: Hostname: fast-server Domain: homelinux.com Is that a problem?
