Problem recieving mail

I am quite pleased with ispconfig. It is truly an amazing program. However, I am having trouble receiving e-mails in my inbox. This holds true using the webmail interface and outlook. It appears as if they are not being properly delivered to the users e-mail box. I am able to send main from the account so SMTP works perfectly. Also, no e-mails are getting bounced back.

My set up is as follows:
    Fedora Core 4 perfect
    MTA Postfix
    logs are enabled
    maildir is disabled
    spamfilter is enabled

    on the email account:
    catchAll-email is enabled
    MailScan is enabled
    Keep Copy is enabled
    Spamfilter is enabled
    Antivirus is enabled
    Span Strategy accept
    spanHits: 5
    Rewrite subject is enabled

When I viewed the log files they are not giving me any errors and the server is recieving the e-mails.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Can you try to send a mail to the system and at the same time have a look at the mail log and post the relevant excerpt of the log here?

looks like hotmail is having a little problems recieving any mail. Any ideas on how to fix that? increase time out time?

I am sending the mail message from [email protected] to [email protected]

I hope this is the mail log you are looking for. If you would like another log to be sent please just ask. THank again :)

For hotmail you will have to add SPF records for your domain at the authoritive DNS Server, otherwise hotmail refuses your smtp connections.

Please check if the domain that shall receive the email is listed in /etc/postfix/local-host-names (without www) and the email address is listed in /etc/postfix/virtusertable

Thank you both for your reply. Below is the content in the virtusertable and also local-host-names

    virtusertable:
    [email protected] webmaster
    @www.axiompvp.com webmaster
    [email protected] webmaster
    @axiompvp.com webmaster

    local-host-names:
    localhost
    www.axiompvp.com
    localhost.www.axiompvp.com
    localhost.axiompvp.com
    axiompvp.com

Everything looks ok to me. Any chance you see anything?

    Thats OK so far.

Please try to check your maillog with the command "tail -f /path/to/mail/log". This will open an continous tail command. If you now send an email to your server, which lines where added to the mail log?

The mail is delivered, but to root. Have you set any redirects in postfix for the webmaster account? Please have a look in the postfix aliases file.

Try to create another mail account that is not a webmaster address. If this account is working properly we know thats not a general problem in mail delivery.

Maybe its /etc/aliases and not /etc/postfix/aliases

If its not /etc/aliases it has an other name in FC4, i dont have FC4 installed here. Which files do you have in /etc/postfix directory?

    ls -l /etc/postfix/

    /etc/aliases is the correct file.
Just comment out the line (or delete it). Afterwards, you have to run the command
    Code:
    newaliases
