    Hi,
I followed the "Perfect Setup Debian Sarge" howto, then installed ISPConfig.
I encountered various issues due to the fact that I didn't start from a clean install, and some packages were already installed (Postfix...), and left some config files behind them...
Well, finally I managed to get the server working... almost...;)

I'm scratching my head for 3 days now on the following problem:
my server just doesn't accept incoming emails for the emails adresses I've created for the site I've set up on the server.
I can use Uebimiau to send emails to any external adress...
I can authenticate to the smtp server and send emails with Thunderbird to any external adress too...
But whenever I try to send an email to an adress which belongs to the domain I've setup, it gets rejected.
Here's an exemple from my mail.log:
    Code:
    Mar 28 21:06:24 ik61026 postfix/smtpd[8789]: connect from 26.mail-out.ovh.net[213.186.42.179]

Here I was trying to send an email from Thunderbird to 2 users in my domain (domain.tld)...
Please help, I'm going mad !

Well nevermind, it seems I finally found the problem...
    Code:
    virtual_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtusertable
    was missing in /etc/postfix/main.cf...

Problem receiving mail for test account

I've setup a test email account for [email protected]. I've read quite a few posts and yes:

    there is "virtual_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtusertable" in /etc/postfix/main.cf

[email protected] and [email protected] are in /etc/postfix/virtusertable

    /etc/postfix/local-host-names contains "mydomain.com" and "www.mydomain.com"

    I restarted postfix

I can log in to the imap server with the user name (webx_test) and his passwd

BUT I cannot receive email for that account. Instead, I get the mail into the catch all email of a different domain [email protected]. Anybody an idea what is going on?

Note: /etc/postfix/virtusertable contains "@myotherdomain.com ..." and "@www.myotherdomain.com ..." which I'm guessing is refering to the catch all email of that domain.

BUT again, how come I'm getting all mail sent to my server to that email address now?

OK, this is weird. I just removed the catch all check from myotherdomain.com and it worked, although I defined another catch all on mydomain.com.

The problem is solved, but I don't know why.
