Hello, I am posting a query, so may someone can give me a piece of advice.

    I followed this guide:
    https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial...php-pureftpd-postfix-dovecot-and-ispconfig/2/
I know, people that really knows what they are doing hate these kind of guides :) I know half of what I am doing ;-)

Problem: I can ´t log in in an ftp account. ISPCONFIG3 it´s installed and I add an ftp account through the panel. I got " WRONG USER NAME OR PASSWORD "

Do I have to create a table for ftp users in the database.... or pure-ftp have it ´s own database for user, password?

Hope someone can give a bit of help. Thanks a lot!!!

    1) Ensure that you use the correct FTP username incl. prefix as it is shown in the ftp user list.
    2) Ensure that you use FTP or FTPS but not SFTP, SFTP is SSH and not FTP.

I did all that. Where does pure-ftp store users and password ? Sorry I have to say that it 's a multidomain server. Thanks a lot !!!

in the local dbispconfig database, column ftp_user. When it's a multiserver, then it might be that your servers are bot connected correctly so that ispconfig could not fetch it from the master and write it to the local database.

    Till,
Sorry I took a time to search a bit more of info. Sure you must be right! It´s not linked with the DB.
    I followed this guide,
    https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-...hp-pureftpd-postfix-dovecot-and-ispconfig3-p2

In order to setup with ISPConfig3, mail it´s working good (imap-smtp), HTTPD, and DNS. Yes I am hosting more than 1 site, but as I told in the beginning the ftp it ´s not working, It´s UP but I can´t login...

In this other guide I got explained with details. It´s good idea to follow only the ftp database section ? (same os)
    https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/pure-ftpd-virtual-ftp-server-centos-7-2/#-preliminary-note

Sorry, but I am stuck in there, it ´s not a business, just a learning group. That´s why we are not in a hurry with the answers: We just want to learn.

    Thanks in advanced :)

No, that's incompatible. It is similar but there is a better way to get the config again.

The link between pure-ftpd and the ISPConfig database is made by the ISPConfig installer automatically. You can try to run an ISPConfig update with 'reconfigure services = yes', this will write the config for pure-ftpd again.
