question with sending mail from webmail

    hi all

    got this weird problem with sending mail with webmail if i go to say example.com/webmail, i login then when i send a email it comes though but say from [email protected] which is my host name instead of [email protected] any ideas what the problem could be.

    You might want to give a bit more info on your setup such as what webmail ? virtual users involved ? etc
    My mind reading sort of fails at the double glazing :)

    sorry forgot that lol, well its using webmail 1.4.4-2 and proper unix users virtusertable and local-host-names has the email to user and the domain hosted etc.

    I think if you mean SquirrelMail you can login and in Options - Personal Information
    fill that out that should do the trick
