i've already created several aliasdomains, so that eg: domainA.com goes to parent website domainA.co.uk,
with redirect type R,L, no redirect path.

and these all show up under the aliasdomain for website page.
there's nothing in the redirect tab when looking at a domains details on the webdomains page (sites -> website -> chosen site)

i know want to redirect some domains to a subfolder of another domain, eg domainA.com goes to domainB.com/folderA/

do i do this under the aliasdomain for website page, including a redirect path, or do i use the redirect tab on the website details.

what exactly is the difference between these two options, they seem to be pretty much the same to me.

You should use the redirect settings of the domain that you want to redirect.
