I am using ISPConfig 3 on my server and Open Game Panel. I chose the option for Open Game Panel to use ISPConfig for managing my FTP users. I have created a remote user for OGP to use. I have checked my soap configuration and it is correct. Is it not possible to create FTP users that would have access to /home/user/ ? I have tried manually creating ftp users and got the error that the directory is outside of web root. Is there any settings I can change to allow this or to get it to work?
FTP user directoris have to be in the website root of the site they belong to. So you can not create a FTP user with a directory /home/user.
Well it is possible if you manually edit the database after you created a FTP user. I tested it with pure-ftpd-mysql, however why would you want this? The developers of ISPconfig didn't just make a "conditional execution" for the FTP user creation for fun, they've got multiple reasons for that.
