"safe graphic mode" installation in Wubi

    In order for Ubuntu to run in my laptop from a live CD, I had to choose the option "start Ubuntu in safe graphic mode", because when I tried to start it from the first option, all I had was an empty screen.
    I have the same result installing Ubuntu with Wubi.
    Is it some sort of "safe graphic mode" installation in Wubi?
    This is with Ubuntu 7.04. I haven't tried 7.10 yet.

    I think that 7.10 has much better hardware support than 7.04, so you might have more luck with 7.10. :)
