Well it's back and running so far. Some of the updates screwed up the module file, somehow, had to modprobe the ethernet cards back and now I'm going to install VMWare on my XP machine create a new server, ween everyone off the main server and so a full Debian Etch install from scratch. I go back and check everything tomorrow.
