May it be that the site in question has any redirections set in ISPConfig or some Apache directives in "Options" tab - or a special .htaccess file?

I checked the options you indicated in ispconfig and everything is ok, when you mend the file hatcess you mean the file located in the root of the website

Strange. The log says error 404 which means that the acme challenge file could not be found.

I thought it could depend on some badly set record in the DNS section of my provider but I checked and compared it with another domain it works and there also seem to be problems ...
