Hi, I've been running a ISPConfig 3 server on ubuntu 12.04 with success, but now my certificate for SMTP needs to be renewed, how do I update it this, and can I set it to last forever?
Take the CSR from ssl tab, let it sign gain by your SSL authority and then copy the new CRT that you get into the ssl certificate field, select "Save certificate" as action and press on the save button.
Sorry can you explan in more deatil, im not sure what you mean, and do not want to make a mistake, SSL tab???
Sorry, I missed completely that you talk about a smtp cert. For a smtp cert: Is this a self signed cert or an officially signed ssl cert?
You can recreate a new ssl cert for ispconfig like this: http://www.faqforge.com/linux/how-to-renew-the-ispconfig-3-ssl-certificate/ Then you can configure postfix and dovecot to use the ispconfig ssl cert (chapter 6 and 7), the ca file part is not required for self signed ssl certs: https://www.howtoforge.com/securing...-free-class1-ssl-certificate-from-startssl-p2
