Hi all I am planing to set up a ISP i intend to run 3 dns servers with mydns 1 web server 1 mailserver using the ispconfig 3 these server will be sitting behind its own firewalls can i install ispconfig on a standalone server which would be used to configure the services on the different servers ? many thanks
Install the webserver first, it will be also the master and controlpanel server as it runs the apache webserver. then install the other servers, select expert mode in the ispconfig installer and choose to join the master server when asked. For the install, make sure that the mysql root user is able to login from all servers into the mysql db of the master server before you install ispconfig on the other servers.
