Glad it worked out. I had to reinstall the VM several times, too.

To be honest, it's not always easy to understand tutorials to the last point, be it for the articulation of the writer or the comprehension of the reader. Especially when there's a language barrier inbetween, as tiny as it may be.

In my case it's a medical condition. I have a linux allergy and whenever I touch it it seems to transmorph into a hydra of errors.

 

I use UnattendedUpgrades and Needrestart for autoinstall and autorestart of services of security updates. Works in Debian.
