I've setup my debian box according to the "The Perfect Setup - Debian Sarge (3.1)" Guide.

spamassassin and clamav have been installed. How can i check to find out if they are running? I've tried top and ps -aux ... but I don't see these two process.

I'm asking because I got this message when I try to restart it
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/spamassassin restart
SpamAssassin Mail Filter Daemon: disabled, see /etc/default/spamassassin

Can't seem to find clamav in /etc/init.d/ either ...

    Many thanks!

    :D

That's by design. ISPConfig has ships its own SpamAssassin and ClamAV. So the versions of your Distro are not needed and it's absolutely correct that they are not running.

SpamAssassin and clamscan are only called directly when checking mails, there is no deamon running all the time, so you won't see anything related with ps aux.
