    hi there,
i would like to create a subdomain in ispconfig,
which has its own individual vhost.conf

for this the sub domain information in the vhost.conf of the main domain should be omitted

    is this possible

    thanks a lot

You can simply create a normal website "subdomain.example.com". Don't forget to create a DNS record for it first.

    hi thom,
    what I needed was subdomain(Vhost)

1.) activate in system -> main config the checkbox (Create subdomain as web site)
2.) then you get the menu point Subdomain (Vhost)

this subdomain is treated as normal website with its own vhost.conf file

    thank you all

I would advice you not to use that function and create it as a normal site with it's own separate web root.

ok thom, ... i thought this was what you put me on

if there are no serious reasons, im happy with subdomain(vhost) because i dont need an own webroot, ... its for a seafile admin

    greetings

This function has been implemented to support migrating from a different panel (not sure which from the top of my head), but I would not recommend using it for most users. Better to keep things neat and use a broadly used function.
