Ubuntu 16.04 or Ubuntu 18.04?

I see there is a script installation for Ubuntu 16.04 is there any security risk in using an older version of ubuntu? looking for easy to install.

 

depend on your needs.
some support is granted until April 2021; however this doesn't mean every package gets what it deserves, doesn't work on current stable versions

 

Thanks ill try out the 18.04 then was wondering if i dont have ssh access right now but i have access to the console is the same thing to install it directly from console.

 

ssh root access may be disabled by default, you need to use the username - you could however allow root login in your sshd_config later if you think it's a good idea.
