    Please post the output of:

    you log in with phpmyadmin and then on the left side you select ispconfig db witch is by default dbispconfig after that you press SQL tab in the main window and then it says:

    Run SQL query/queries on database dbispconfig:

    and this is where you type next:

    update sys_user set passwort = md5('newpassword') WHERE username = 'usernameyouchange';

    in this case it's the admin so you set admin there

    let me know what you done

    sorry

    sorry for been such a disturbance. i have logged into the suse 11.1 server and run the command mysql -p.

    your totaly mixing things:

    mysql -p logs you in console mode and myphpadmin is the gui that you use from browser window...

    as for command line it would look like this after you log in:

    UPDATE dbispconfig.sys_user SET passwort = MD5('passhere') WHERE sys_user.username='admin';
    QUIT

    Good

    My server has two network cards......it is an email server and a network server for the organisation.....when i deactivate the firewall in yast2 my internet goes down and i cant access it on the LAN....what do i do?

    Is there a quick user guide on using ispconfig?

    The username problem has been solved....now i can login.

    there is no documentation atm for ispconfig 3, it's work in progress

    Don't understand why your internet goes down if firewall is disabled. Need more info for that to be able to help you.

    So how do i go abt it

    So how do i go abt it to have my website up like in one hr.....there is this stuff of ftp.....the site is built using joomla and i need to upload it in like 30mins.

    Which info do u need.....i am ready to offer it to you.....on the go

    well if your not sure atm don't disable firewall...

    in isp config go make a site and after that make a username for that site/domain and basicly your set to go. Note that after you make ftp user click again on ftp user menu and there you will see it's username becouse it might have prefix so it won't be username you chose but maybe 01username or w/e

    after that u can log in withuser name to upload your stuff in web directory
