update: i created another email box for test purpose from ispconfig panel. then in the thunderbird, i used the wizard to configure it. when it failed, i changed the Connection security to None instead of TLS. Then I am receiving the emails. Hope this helps to identify the issue, pertaining to receiving incoming mails.
I've explained the most likely reason for your issue in post #20 and how to fix it. What you posted in #21 confirms this, your mail server is working exactly as it should, you just entered the wrong details in thunderbird which causes thunderbird to deny the connection.
Hi Till, Good news at last. I am was able to receive mail on the old mailbox if a resort to an insecure method with old server name. Code: mailbox: [email protected] imap: example.com Connection Security: None Everything seemed to work for one time but again it stopped. Now it seems there are still lots of new issues to name a few. Code: dovecot: dh key too small amavisd: no decoder for .F WIll take up each one by one. Thanks for all your kind help.
