Hi I tried to upgrade from 3.0.5 to 3.1 with all options by default but then all websites, including ispconfig are down saying "can't connect to url" No messages in syslog, apache2/error.log nor ispconfig/ispconfig.log when I try to hit a page I did install php5-fpm manually. Could it be the problem ? Where to investigate ?
An ISPConfig update neither alters the vhost configuration of webs nor the php-fpm configuration of the sites, so no website is directly affected by an update of ISPConfig. Are you sure that you updated ISPConfig only and not e.g. your operating system too?
If there is no system upgrade in the ispconfig_update.sh I did not do any upgrade at the moment. My server is under debian 9.3 (stretch). When I restore the /etc backuped by the ispconfig upgrade I recover my installation with everything workin well.
