    Hi,

I need to be able to boot of my USB memory stick with Linux OS on it.

I can't figure out how to do it though.

i did compile kernel with all appropriate options and i used syslinux to make it bootable, now i'm missing on few peaces of the puzzle, such as: initrd

my usb memory stick boots, but due to lack of root partition or any other for that matter...

i'm totally clueless where to go from here... i'm sure a lot of you have done that in the past, so can someone lay some lights here?

    thanks in advance
