Hi there, I am trying out ispconfig and would like to know if user names are automatically appended with the domain to which they belong? It seems that usernames must be unique across the entire server to work properly. It would be great if user names where unique to each domain. I.E. I would like users to login as [email protected] rather than just peter. I have tried to create users with names like [email protected] but cant seem to login with a username like that. Also I would like the system to automatically append the domain to the username rather than doing it manually as inevtiably some staff member will get it wrong.
This topic has been discussed many times in the forum. ISPConfig uses linux system users, this means that no "@" sign is allowed in usernames. If you dont remove the username prefix, the usernames created by ISPConfig are unique for each domain.
