Hi all I am trying to use the presets for the username which is web[webid]_ but I wanted to change it to web[webid]+ but when I try and create a username I get an error:

    Field: Username
The user name has to contain a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 32 letters or figures and has to begin with a letter.

So am I right in thinking that ISPConfig will not accept "+" as a valid character, is this something that can be fixed in one of the configuration files or something.

    Thanks

A "+" is not allowed in Linux usernames, that's why ISPConfig refuses to accept it.

Ok seems fair enough, again this shows my lack of knowledge when it comes to Linux.

Are there any other chars that are not allowed.

    Thanks

'@' or '.', for example. Basically you should stick to [A-Z, a-z], the underscore ('_') and numbers.

How can I change the start number of the web id, so instead of starting at one I can start it at 100
