Hello, I have a problem here on my suse 10.1 / ispconfig webserver. I have a customer who has four domains on my server. The contents of the pages are the same, so at first I had created one web with three co-domains. But the customer needs email accounts with the same name on each of the domains, so I neded to switch to four single webs with each carrying one of the domains. Now the customer insists on just uploading the content to one domain only (remember: the contents are the same). I thought this would be no problem; I just edited the /etc/apache2/vhosts/Vhosts_ispconfig.conf and changed the DocumentRoot entry of three of the domains to point on the fourth. This works perfectly (as I expected), but now the problem is, that each time I edit something in ISPConfig, the Vhosts_ispconfig.conf is rewritten. What can I do about it? Do I have to put in a redirection? Thank you, regards, Tom
The easiest solution is to use a apache rewrite rule. http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12783 The rewrite rule should also work if you use a URL instead of the directory name. Another solution might be to use http proxy requests.
