web and mail files on separate disk on server

    Hi All,

    My server has a seperate large capacity HDD which i want to use for the hosted websites and mail files whilst the SSD looks after the OS and ISPConfig

    Can anyone please advise which mount point I need to mount the drive to so I can achieve this ... alternatively, if I need to make a symlink rahter than mounting the drive please advise which folders I should link - I have already created /storage and mounted the HDD to (Quotas are already set to /storage also)

    thank Till, would you recommend symlinking or mounting separate partitions as each?

    Mounting or bind mounts. these folders can not be symlinked.

    ok thanks :) will create /sdb1 and /sdb2 one for each then :D

    If I create the folders, and mount them before installing the install wont fail will it when it tries to create the folders?

    The installer does not fail when the folders exist.
