    I am having trubble with my 2nd site creating mail accounts. I get this in the mail log.
    HTML:
    Nov 11 14:03:03 server1 imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]
    Nov 11 14:03:03 server1 imapd: LOGOUT, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], rcvd=30, sent=470
    Nov 11 14:03:07 server1 imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]
    Nov 11 14:03:07 server1 imapd: LOGIN FAILED, [email protected], ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]
    Nov 11 14:03:12 server1 imapd: LOGOUT, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], rcvd=72, sent=332
    Nov 11 14:04:34 server1 imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]

    It dose not install the web3_u1 for some reason. Here is the log for the mail on the first site.
    HTML:
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 imapd: LOGIN, user=web1_u1, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], protocol=IMAP
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 imapd: LOGOUT, user=web1_u1, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], headers=0, body=0, rcvd=40, sent=110, time=0
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 imapd: LOGIN, user=web1_u1, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], protocol=IMAP
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 imapd: LOGOUT, user=web1_u1, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], headers=0, body=0, rcvd=77, sent=419, time=0
    Nov 11 14:06:13 server1 postfix/smtp[1738]: 89DB24A62AB: to=<[email protected]>, relay=mx4.hotmail.com[65.54.245.104]:25, delay=0.37
    This is corect. How and why is it not adding the web3_u1 on the other site? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mail on the 2nd site, but it still will not setup the user accounts. Can someone please help me to get this working? thanks

    Did you send an email to web3_u1? web3_u1's Maildir is created when the first mail for that user arrives, and only then is it possible to log in with IMAP/POP3.

    smtp.stocktongoodsamaritan.org doesn't seem to exist in DNS. I'm not sure if this is the problem.

    Do I need to add somthing to the records were the domain was registered or are you talking about the dns on the server? In the dns area for stocktongoodsamaritan, for mailserver hostname, it is www.mysite4webhosting.com. Is that corect?

    Update, I took out the smtp.stocktongoodsamaritan.org out of the MX records. Maybe that is causing the problems. I need to get there mail working for this site.

    I tool out the smtp.stocktongoodsamaritan.org out of the mx records. I do not have that on my other account (apostolichearts.com) and that site works just fine.

    It is able to send out mail to people signing up on the site, but I still can not send mail to any account I have created. ([email protected], [email protected]) Any clue as to why this is doing this? Frustrating :confused:

    new informatin

    I went into the ispconfig panel. I went to the Stockton good sams sites/co-domain and checked on ip domain. I checked the boxes in there. Then went to the DNS area and it created a stocktongoodsamaritan.com. My site is .org. there are two entries in there. one for .com and one for .org. Dose this backup in ispconfig work well? Can I backup and delete the site and then recreate the site and restore the files to it? I so need to get this mail working. Thanks

    It is working now

    I wanted to say it is working now (thank God). It has something to do with the dns. Thanks for all the help everyone in trying to get this going for me. Disregard the upper posting. I hope this posting will help someone in the same situation.
