I am wanting to learn Linux and the different commands and was hoping to get some direction as to which distro to download. Also if anyone knows of a good tutorial that is easy to understand. Thanks
Mainly Debian, Ubuntu and their derivatives are supported in here, so if you planned to learn from here, choose any of them as I think it would definitely make it easier for you in your quest.
Most tutorials here and elsewhere are using Debian/Ubuntu or CentOS as the distribution. If you want to try out Linux on a desktop then I would recommend Fedora or Ubuntu. However, there are also more interesting distributions, like Gentoo, Archlinux, OpenSuse etc, but if you are a beginner then I would recommend one of the big four distributions.
